Earn Your AKC Trick Dog Title with SmartyPup!

Have you ever wanted to showcase your dog's incredible skills and earn a prestigious title? At SmartyPup!, we make it easy for you and your pup to achieve an AKC Trick Dog title. Our fun and engaging classes cover the essential tricks needed, and our AKC-approved evaluators can check off your accomplishments during class, with no additional test required!

How It Works:

1. Perform the Tricks: Our SmartyPup! Tricks class will teach you and your dog at least 10 of the required behaviors for the AKC Trick Dog title. You’ll perform these tricks in the presence of an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator.

2. Submit Your Application: Once you’ve mastered the tricks, you’ll need to submit an application with the checklist for the particular title you are applying for. Your AKC number and a signed evaluator form are required, along with the processing fee.

3. Receive Your Title: Your AKC Trick Dog title will be mailed to you. Plus, SmartyPup! will celebrate your achievement with a New Title Rosette Ribbon!

Tricks to Master:

• Balance Beam: The dog walks on a low beam.
• Bark on Cue ("Speak"): The dog barks when instructed.
• Crawl: The dog crawls at least 5 feet.
• Fetch It: The dog fetches and brings back an item.
• Find It: The dog locates a hidden treat or toy.
• Get Your ____: The dog brings a specific item when named.
• Hand Signals: The dog follows hand signals for basic commands like sit, down, or come.
• High Five: The dog gives a high five.
• Jump: The dog jumps over a barrier or through a hoop.
• Kennel Up: The dog goes into a crate on command.
• Kisses: The dog kisses the handler on cue.
• Paws Up: The dog places its front paws on a low object.
• Push-Ups: The dog does a series of sit and down commands.
• Shake Hands: The dog shakes hands.
• Spin: The dog spins in a circle.
• Touch: The dog touches a target with its nose.
• Tunnel: The dog goes through a tunnel.
• Hold (3 sec): The dog holds an object for three seconds.
